1. EL PASTOR ES MI SENOR
The Best Street Tacos that I have had in San Antonio are right here! They slow cook the meat on a trompo (vertical grill) You have a choice between. Al Pastor or Sirloin, Both are Great! Get Both! I usually get the 5 taco plate for each. The meat is always very tender and marinated perfectly. They also have pretty good pork chop tacos as well. The staff are always inviting and they have a pretty great playlist jamming throughout the restaurant. Go early because they do sell out early sometimes.

2. HALA CAFE
Hala Cafe is a Jordanian restaurant and Hookah Bar. The place is very cozy and I usually spend a lot of time because its such a chill environment. The staff is always friendly and the food is flavorful. I recommend the Chicken shawarma. The menu boasts many different drinks. They have a pretty good variety of Hot Tea’s to choose from including Jordanian, Iraqi and Mint Tea. I recommend the Jasmin Tea. They also have Turkish Coffee. They also have quite a few Hookah flavors including something called White Gummy Bear (try it, let me know what it’s like!). The cafe as very social atmosphere on the patio where you can see people enjoying board games of all sorts.

3. Laika
Laika is a Ukrainian owned cheesecake cafe that is absolutely delicious ( and I don’t even like cheese cake that much!). They have a variety of flavors and are great gifts! They are packaged in cute little jars and are a really nice treat! They also serve handcrafted drinks with some delicious flavor combinations. I highly recommend the NY Strawberry or the Toffee Truffle cheesecake!

Pete’s is a food truck in the El Camino Food Truck park that makes really Amazing chicken sandwiches. I recommend that Dirty Bird, which is a chicken sandwich with Mac N Cheese on it or the Original Nashville Hot. Don’t worry sensitive eaters, you can adjust the spice levels.

5. Artea
Artea is a Boba and Taiwanese inspired Cafe. Everything I’ve had there has been great! They really focus on using quality ingredients and hand make everything. My go-to order there is the Gua Bao, which is a steamed bun, tender braised pork belly, crushed peanuts, dusting of confectioner sugar, and cilantro. It’s super tender and just perfect! I usually get the signature milk tea or the jasmine milk tea. Either way you can’t go wrong at this place, one of the best places for Boba Tea in San Antonio.

6. Oscar's Taco House
Oscar’s Taco House is an Old School Tex-Mex place that’s been around for decades, The place is very nostalgic and the food is what traditional San Antonio style Mexican food is all about. Not only do they serve Tex Mex favorites like Fajitas, Chili Con Carne Enchiladas and Puffy tacos, they also serve southern favorites like Fried Fish, and Old Fashioned Hamburgers. If you are looking for comfort food, look no further. My personal favorite is there Enchiladas.

7 Sari-Sari Supper Club
The Sari Sari Supper Club is Elevated Filipino Inspired Cuisine. They take a lot of classic filipino dishes and transform them into something that you would see in a Michelin star style restaurant. I highly recommend the Porchetta, which is a Roasted pork belly, lemongrass, bay leaf, atsara, and sarsa. Be sure to save room for dessert. The Turon Banana Cheesecake is addicting.
